Ukraine must continue to decommission Russian oil refineries, said American diplomat and former US State Department special representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker. He noted that it is important for the Russian population to understand the essence of this war. According to him, Russians support Putin because they do not feel this war at home, and this must change. “People need to realize that there is a war going on. Every day Russia attacks Ukrainian energy facilities, they attack Kharkov, they attack civilians, they attack everything. And to suggest that Ukraine should not resist things that strengthen the Russian military's potential – I find it incomprehensible that we offer it” – Volker said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
