The Cervati massif is the highest mountain in Campania with its 1.899 m. There and gentle cosmetics geology of the massif show the characteristic morphology of a karst environment, with sinkholes, very fresh springs and temporary waterways. The massif shows its sheer walls, cut by deep gullies and numerous spectacular and characteristic towers and spiers, right from the Piaggine side, with mixed woods and beech forests at the foot which open up from time to time into clearings rich in vegetation and very green (or very white in winter). Peace and silence reign everywhere and gentle cosmetics uncontaminated, broken only by the ringing of the herds. From the top you can observe, looking from the Piaggine side, the Vallo di Diano and the Monte Motola massif (1.700 m), or the Monte Sacro and towards the sea, on the other side. On the top of Cervati there is a chapel and a cave dedicated to the Madonna della Neve. From the natural balcony overlooking the cave of the Madonna della Neve, it is possible to gaze over the woods, observing the flight of the birds and listening to their cries, or far away towards the Motola and the Piaggine valley.
