Anna De Rosa curator of the event welcomed the lawyer's proposal with pleasure. Carminuccia Marcarelli afflicted by chronic pain and for years an activist on the topic, organizing a cultural event together outside specialized circuits to spread knowledge and raise awareness among those who are not directly involved in the problem of chronic pain.
The event will be an opportunity for different sensitivities to meet and food for thought at various levels, from the medical-social to the musical-artistic, in a setting different from the institutional one, and will see alternating artistic moments, such as the exhibition of works at pain theme, a poetic/theatrical performance by Anna De Rosa and Ignazio De Rosa, a the musical ones of the singer artistic director Michele Ricciardi, of the saxophonist Bonaventura Giordano, of the T'INCANTO Choir directed by Antonella Zito
Art as a vehicle for emotional expression with this emotional connection can arouse a range of emotions, ranging from joy to admiration, from amazement to profound sadness.
The works of the artists are full of emotions and tell life stories that are always strong and sometimes shocking, stories of pain and isolation, where art is a necessary and daily activity, often a key to survival from imprisonment and marginalization , to indifference and invisibility. In them there are no longer formal conventions, what predominates is pure instinct, an archaic and primitive language, a simplified, irrational style. The result is a painting of great originality of forms, of expressive ways, of techniques, of materials, of assemblages, where the color is treated with freedom and communicates and the magic is accomplished: the invisible is transformed into the visible, the necessity in art.

Death, pain, invisibility, prejudices, cancer, anorexia... Now think about it: why should a person who has suffered or who suffers relive that pain through art?
Why not just run away? Why not stay quiet? Why not show?
Because there is a need, the need to face the pain, to overcome it first and foremost, and it is the need to find a communication key for all this, a key that opens the door to sometimes silenced realities, hidden, rejected. And so here is the answer to the question.
What is art for?
Art has the power to transform the infinitely personal into the extremely universal.
The second question is: is there a need for all this?
Yes, absolutely, because the world today must return to being human and get closer to others.
We don't know if we will give answers but we will talk about it a lot.
