The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Salerno (in recent days, ed.) have executed a preventive seizure decree, currently against unknown persons, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Salerno in acceptance of the request presented by this Public Prosecutor's Office, of the paths/gates no. 3 and no. 7 of the Pineta, located in the Varolato-Laura locality of the Municipality of Capaccio-Paestum - natural reserve of the Foce Sele - Tanagro area subject to landscape and environmental restrictions and declared of notable public interest, for the crime of water diversion and modification of the state of the places (art. 632 cp), invasion of land or buildings (art. 633 cp), destruction or disfigurement of natural beauty (art. 734 cp) and the criminal offenses provided for by art. 181 – works carried out in the absence of authorization or in conflict with Legislative Decree 42 of 2004 (Cultural Heritage and Landscape Code) and art. 44 deld.prn 380 of 2001 (TU building).
In particular, concrete curbs along the entire length of the path and, for approximately half, asphalt and concrete paving have been created without title; path nr.3, paved with concrete slabs.
The precautionary measure adopted is subject to appeal and the accusations as formulated will be subjected to scrutiny by the judge in the further stages of the proceedings.
