The day of study and in-depth analysis is part of the context of the celebrations on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the foundation of theTiberina Lucana Academy.
The text "Terre Lucane – the path of a people between history and stories” is composed of a collection of nineteen prestigious contributions of real historical research through which the authors want to reconstruct and tell the identity and events of the Lucanian people starting from the classical age and up to the present day. An authoritative literary work which saw the participation of teachers, journalists, men of culture, professionals and researchers: the Lucanian society of the past and present told in all its facets. The main theme of the evening will be the reflection on the origins of "Cult of the Black Madonna” in Lucania. In this sense, the contribution of will be analysed and gentle cosmetics historical - scientific written by Giuseppe Balena (Journalist and essayist).
In any case, the initiative offers several and important points of contact with the application process of "The Paths of the Lucanian Peoples to the Sacro Monte of Viggiano” a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
