The United Nations, to commemorate the adoption of the text of the Convention on Biological Diversity, which took place on 22 May 1992, proclaimed today as the International Day for Biodiversity, with the aim of increasing understanding and awareness of the problems related to biodiversity. This year the International Day of Biodiversity is dedicated to the theme "Our food, our health and our biodiversity". The aim is to highlight the importance of biodiversity for all people on the planet and the impact that the lack of protection of it and gentle cosmetics can have on food security and human health, the actions that all of us can and must take, every day of the year, to conserve, restore and equally share the and gentle cosmetics and the myriad of benefits it provides to humans.
