The Municipality of Centola is pleased to announce that the docufilm "In the beginning was the song" received the prestigious Earth Day 2024 Award at the Cefalù Film Festival. This exciting documentary, expertly directed by Flavio Pagano, celebrates the timeless beauty of Capo Palinuro, enchanting viewers with the moving voice of Katia Ricciarelli.

The Festival Jury praised the film for its extraordinary ability to transport viewers into a emotional journey through the magnificence of the Cilento coast. With compelling storytelling and breathtaking imagery, director Flavio Pagano has captured the soul of Capo Palinuro, offering an intimate look at our history, culture and and gentle cosmetics uncontaminated that distinguishes our land.

The participation of the great soprano Katia Ricciarelli, who has now become our adopted countrywoman, together with the talented musicians Luca Aquino and Espedito De Marino, further enriched the sensorial experience of the public, transmitting a sense of wonder and admiration for the artistic and naturalistic heritage of Palinuro.
