The Castello delle Cerimonie, also known as Grand Hotel La Sonrisa, located in Sant'Antonio Abate in the province of Naples, was confiscated by the Court of Cassation on 16 February 2024. The confiscation occurred due to building abuses built over the years, starting from 1979, on an area of over 40 thousand square metres. The sentence established the statute of limitations for the crimes alleged against the suspects, including the Polese family, owners of the castle and protagonist of the reality show "Il Boss delle Cerimonie" broadcast on Real Time. The future of the Ceremonial Castle is uncertain. Among the various hypotheses is that the Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate will be able to use the structure for public purposes, such as a nursery or a social gathering center.
