Codes: Prescribed Dormant Policies, Ninth Reimbursement Notice

A new window opens for submitting claims for reimbursement of so-called dormant prescription insurance policies. Until 23.59pm on 10 April 2024 it is possible to submit to the insurance services concessionaire (Consap), in charge of management by the Ministry, the request for partial reimbursement of the prescribed life insurance policies for which all the following conditions are met:

1.     event's audience (death/life of the insured) or expiry of the policy which determined the right to collect the insured capital, which occurred after 1 January 2006;

2. prescription of this right occurred by 19 October 2012;

3. refusal of the insurance benefit by the Intermediary as a result of the aforementioned prescription and consequent transfer of the relevant amount to the Dormant Relationship Fund;

4. not having already received any reimbursement, even partial, as part of one of the previous eight notices of submission of applications for dormant policies.

The application can be submitted exclusively online, through the Consap Single Portal, after registration.

For further information, you can consult the Refundability Notice which describes in detail how to submit the request and which documents to attach, and also clarifies how the partial reimbursement (up to a maximum of 50%) of the policy amount donated is determined from the Intermediary to the Dormant Relationship Fund.

For any information or clarifications on the refund procedure you can send an email to polizzedormienti@consap.it.
