PM10 from the Sahara (passing Campania) also reaches Rome... when I say watch out for the wind it has no barriers!

Yesterday was the news that the winds brought the Saharan air even to Rome, with the associated toxic PM10. The pale yellow sky has invaded the capital and the entire surrounding area. Here is what we read on the website of the Municipality of Rome: "In consideration of the phenomenon of long-distance transport of particulate matter of natural origin (institutional events, Saharans) which, in the next few days, will affect the municipal territory of Rome (as indicated by the sector forecast models), during the air quality monitoring cycle of yesterday 30 March 2024 it was detected, in the stations of France, Magna Grecia, Cinecittà, Villa Ada, Guido, Cavaliere, Fermi, Bufalotta, Cipro, Tiburtina, Arenula and Malagrotta, exceeding the daily PM10 limit value established by current legislation. With Managerial Resolution no. 114/2024 on information for citizens a measure to contain air pollution has been adopted. In the Managerial Determination, all the recommendation from Roma Capitale on the behaviors to be adopted."

Unfortunately, the environment cannot be addressed by one or a few subjects: all states must necessarily stand together and assume their responsibilities. You cannot pollute as if there were no tomorrow (see the ranking of the most polluted countries in the world below) without making those who don't do it pay the price... duties, punishments, import bans and other little things like that should be triggered here ... but money and easy earnings, perhaps, do not take into account the health of one's own and other human beings (and yet we were the country of the Land of Fires and someone, perhaps, now, is repenting... I believe it and I don't I believe).
